I have Chill Thermostatic Universal Mixer Shower, surface mounted. I need a replacement cartridge for it. How can I find the correct cartridge for it. It is probably 14 years old.
Hello,
This shower took a few different thermostatic cartridges over time, so you may have any one of the 3 cartridges referenced as reference 10 on the parts list.
If you remove the control knob you will be able to see how the cartridge is held in. If it's held in by a retaining nut (ref 16 in the parts list) then you have the CART18 CART06734B cartridge.
If the cartridge screws in instead, then it's either the 00622415 or the Easitherm 00650372.
The spline is shorter on the Easitherm and you'll see the design of the body inbetween the o-rings is different when reviewing the photos of the cartridge. You may need to remove from the shower to compare.
If you have the easitherm 00650372 cartridge, this is discontinued with no replacements now.
If you are looking for the flow piston housings in the shower rather than the thermostatic cartridge, these are now obsolete too. The shower would need to be replaced in this case.
Kind regards,
Dan S
