I have a Bristan KN2 SHXRR C and the water is no longer hot. I have turned it to maximum using the temperature adjusting screw to maximum but it is still too cool.
Does the thermostatic mixing valve need replacing? Which parts do I need?
It is less than 2 years old.Hi,
If you live in a hard water area the filters may be blocked or scaled up. They are located in the elbows so I would check those first. If the supplies are not balanced the temperature will not be correct.
Failing that, you may need to disassemble the valve and check that the piston is not stuck, it may need cleaning/descaling. Also check for debris in the valve. If still not resolved, replace the thermostat and piston (SK1500-3).
