My Gainsborough Energy 1000 8.5 shower stopped working during use recently. In fact what had happened was that it stopped working on the high heat setting and it tripped the fuse.
It will now work only on low heat ie even when high temp is is set the water is cool, so the same temp whatever the setting.
Can you please advise what part it is that has gone? I was guessing the thermostat or similar but cannot see this on your site.Hello, one of the heater tank elements has failed, it will need a new heater tank.

We have an energy 1000 x and we are not sure how to identify whether it is an 8,5 or 9,5 - where do we find that information.
The problem we have is water leaking from the end of the hose at the shower head end and the hose pulling too freely off the head. Do we need a replacement of the hose only?Hello, the KW rating is stamped on the top of heater tank or on a sticky label by the terminal block, but it sounds like you need just a new hose, have a look at part number 900414, it should be ideal for your shower
