Hi! Ref Avensis Concealed Dual mixer shower, can the thermostat 00798 be replaced from the front? The description in maintenance suggests removal from a disc in the rear, which is a pain in a shower that’s fitted in the wall!
Thanks!
MikeHi
Thank you for your enquiry,
The shower spare parts can be replaced from the front see pdf guide below.

Hi there, I have a customer who is experiencing a problem with this shower valve. The hot water has been becoming progressively cooler over the last few weeks and now is only luke warm at best with the valve open in the hottest position. Can you advise what the likely cause of this is, and what part would require to be replaced if possible? Also if it is possible to replace the part can you provide the technical specification for same? The hot water is fine at all other terminal fittings in the house, and is supplied directly on a high pressure system.
Many Thanks.
Stuart.hello, from your description, you either have a non return valve that is stuck, or the slider and stat need to be replaced, the slider is part number 07587 and the stat is 00798, the nrv will just need to be cleaned.

Hi
I have an Avensys 34032IP0 and despite the thermostat control having full mobility, the water is always cold. There is no hot water at all. Could you please recommend the part(s) needed to correct this?
Thank you
GemmaHello, you need to replace 07587 & 00798, and you need to make sure the non return valves in the inlets are working (not jammed)

Hi,
Having read your replies to questions from other customers I think I know what the answer will be but thought I should check with you all the same.
The problem I have is that the shower head is dripping, the temperature control turns full way anti-clockwise but not much past the 12 o'clock position clock-wise and the water temparature is erratic. Also the water flow control has become out of alignment and is stiff to move.
Would be very grateful if you could confirm what parts I should replace to solve these issues.
Many thanks for you assistance.
Ken FarebrotherHello, you would need to replace the control unit part number 47598

The temperature control knob will not turn to cold anymore. I can turn it anticlockwise all the way but it stops just right of top centre when turned clockwise.
Hello, has someone had the handles off and put them back on incorrectly? if not, I think you will need a new control unit, part number 47598

The water of an Avensys classic thermostatic shower is only coming out cold. The thermostatic control knob turns in both directions but does not allow for any control of water temperature. Is this an easy fix? I have already changed part 47598 000.
Hi
There is a wax element behind the 47598 and a nylon slider item 00798 and 07587 the slider you may have to re silicone grease if dry or the element is faulty.
Kind regards -
