hi we have moved house and the bathroom has a mixer shower we think it is a meynell safemix the mixer valve has broken as it turned on but would not turn off we wanted to replace it with a differant one but the hot water pipe is on the right hand side can you tell me if a new meynell valve the hot is on the right as we are having a problem replacing with any other except we have been told to use a manual mixer shower hope you can help.
Hello, on most valves it is possible to reverse the inlets, but we need to know exactly which shower you have, could you e-mail a photo of the current valve so we can offer the most appropriate alternative. e-mail the photo to gary@showerspares.com

When we turn the shower on and turn the control knob we have to turn it all the way round to the max on the hot,and the water temperature only comes out luke warm,and then goes cold then back to warm.The water pressure is fine but the water should be piping hot if you turn it on to the highest hot setting.Can you tell me why this happens and if this can be fixed or do I need a new shower.My shower is a Meynell Safemix V8 Mixer-Exposed.Also can you tell me the price if it can be fixed and the call out fee.Thanks.
Hello, it would appear that the seals are failing in the cartridge and I assume you are on a Combi boiler, which may also be cycling, we suggest you may need a new cartridge SPSL0006J, but first remove the cartridge and check the filters, if they are clear then replace the cartridge

Hello, the best way to tell the difference is by the pipe inlet centres a Meynell V8 has 130mm centres and a Meynell V6 has 110mm centres
