i have a mira 722 and have replace the o seals. refitted the unit and can not adjust the water temperature. it only flows as hot water???
Hello, you have to calibrate the temp lever
Start the flow then remove the nut and the flow knob, then remove the two brass screws that hold the lever on, then you have to turn the splined spindle of the valve by hand left and right, when you turn it and get the correct max outlet temp, set the lever in your hand
to no5 and replace the lever, attach the screws and that is the max temp set, the temp should now go from safe hot max temp to cold. -

I am unable to alter the heat setting on my Mira 722. Although the shower runs hot water, I cannot lower the temperature despite turning dial down. Will ordering a new cartridge solve this problem?( the original one is over 20 years old).
ThanksHello,
When was the shower last serviced? You may need to just clean and descale the internals and replace all of the seals. This may solve the problem. If this does not, then I would suggest replacing the cartridge. Please note that there is a low pressure and high pressure version, depending on your water system.
Thanks. -
since renewing all o rings and cleaning all components in my G72L mixer valve, when we shut off after a shower there is a loud water hammer bang, any ideas of the source please?
Hello, this sounds like you have picked up a partial airlock, perhaps in a dead leg??

Dear Sir,
I have a Mira 722 shower which I am having some problems with. The water is cold despite there being hot water in the tank. I replaced the temperature lever on the front of the unit thinking that this might be my problem, but it made no difference.
I have just submitted a question about my Mira Excel Shower which is leaking. the water to both showers is on a pump which is working fine. What parts do you recommend that I replace on the 722 to get it back working. Many thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Paul WeldonHello, the 722 may just need stripping down and cleaning, it is a mechanical valve and it sounds like it is jammed up, you will need a service kit to start with, part number 935.15

How do I tell if my Mira 722 is a Low Pressure or High Pressure (HP)?
The cold water feed is is from a header tank in the attic.
Thanks
IanHello, the high pressure has triangular holes on the sleeve around the main part of the cartridge, if they are square it is low pressure.

I have taken my Mira 722 (Circa 1981) apart after 30+ years of excellent service.
unfortunately as at the time it was important to get all the old bathroom fittings out quickly, I failed to mark the Cold & hot entry bosses on the unit body.
I am also wanting to be sure I have put it back togeter properly before it goes into reuse as a hot water temperature controller for the water that comes off our AGA which at times is dangerously hot.
Can you help or maybe provide a scan of a manual
RegardsHello, you will have to strip the valve down, there is a 'lug' in the base of the body, the lug is adjacent to the hot feed, the hot water comes into the body dead centre at the back, i hope this helps
