hi i have this shower fitted my problem is that the low pressure light stays on and water does not get hot if you turn it all the way on to full heat it will get hot then the low pressure light comes on and goes cold again.
Hello, it sounds like you either have a blocked inlet filter or a faulty pilot valve.

Hi there, my mother has this shower and the water flow has completely stopped... Just the low pressure light comes on and nothing else. Do you have any ideas to what it is?
Many thanksHello, it will need a new pilot valve 419.87, keep your old one as you will need to re-use the spindle with the new part.

Hi - I have this shower and recently when turned on the overheat light comes on but the water coming of of the shower is cold. The only time the overheat light goes off is if I put it onto low pressure (then only producing a trickle of water). Would you know what replacement part I need? Many thanks.
Hello, it sounds like a faulty pressure switch, which is part of the pilot valve 419.87, you may need to change the spindle on the pilot valve for your original, as there has been a design change.

That you for the quick response to my question. As a result of that I have looked at the price of the part and as it is £70 odd and the shower is as old as it is would you recommend me getting a new shower? With this in mind - is there a replacement that has pretty much the same fittings and the same size that would involve minimal work in replacing my existing one. Thanks Ashley
Unfortunatley there is not a straight replacement as the Mira electric showers inlet now is half way down the shower, unlike yours which is top left. It would need adapting to fit

Hi - I have this model of mira essentials 1996 - 1998 - it looks identical to mine anyway and had no problems with it since living at this house since 2006. This morning it worked okay on high power but when my son went to use it when you put it on high it tripped the RCD switch on my fuse box. I reset it and it works on low or medium but trips out on high. I have noticed over the last few hot months that if you have the water on high you have to have the dial turned to cold as it is coming through extremely hot even though its on cold if you get my drift. Does this sound like its had its day? Do you I need a new shower? Any advice would be greatly appreciated - many thanks.
hello, you need a new heater tank assembly, one of the elements has burnt out and is shorting out, hence the RCD tripping.
