Hi - I have a Mira Excel mixer unit that drips slowly when turned off. Is it worth trying the O-ring kit first or is it likely that a new cartridge is required. If so what's the number and cost? Likely new date 1990-1995

I have a Mira Excel with chrome fittings installed about 1990. When I turned on my shower today it would only give me cold water. I have checked my combi boiler & hot water taps and they are giving me hot water. Could you please advise me . Thanks
Hello, double check that the boiler stays on all the time, if the shower still runs cold with the bolier running, you need a new cartridge.
If the boiler also switches on/off, you need to check the inlet filters and the shower head for partial blockage, as this may be causing the boiler to 'cycle' -
I a trying to get a replacement sliding knob that attaches to the vertical rail to hold the shower head to adjust the height, for a Mira Excel (not electric ) fitted in 1995.Yours hopefully James.

I have a Mira excel shower which looks like the earliest model. It has gold fittings and I would like to replace them with chrome ones. I can see the plate shroud (I think that is what is called) but would also like the hose, the rod which attaches to the wall and the brackets which attach it to the wall. Are you able to help me with the part numbers for the parts I'd like?

I have a Mira Excel shower fitted in ca 1990 in a pumped system. The applicable cartridge numbers are 903/27 and 903/28.The adjusting knob on the cartridge is yellow. Please advise on a suitable replacement cartridge as these earlier standards do not appear to be available.
Hello, the 903.33 is now adjustable and can be used in place of either 903.27 or 903.28

Dear sir,
My mixer unit makes whistling sound,some time hard to turn off and on,and now having less water flow,at present it seems ok.
What could be the problem ?.Hello, you will need to replace the cartridge, the filters may be blocked, but clearing the filters will not cure the stiff controls, you need the Mira 903.33 cartridge

My shower won't turn off fully after use, but will eventually do so only after 'manipulating' the water flow ring. Can you suggest the parts that likely need replacement?
