Hi, a few weeks ago my mira sport 9kw would start ok at correct temp, then after a short while run cold and then go back to correct temp and keep cycling like this. No other appliances, taps etc running at the time and no apparent drop in pressure. Now the shower is just running cold. I checked, cleaned filters, which all seemed ok. We have had the shower approx 6+ years. Any help appreciated..Mike.
Hello, first thing to check/test is the thermal cut out on the top of the heater tank, you need to do a continutiy test accross it , open circuit = faulty.

Hi. I have a 9kw Mira Sport, approx. 9 years old. The water temp. has suddenly dropped, even below that of normal seasonal variations, requiring the temp. control to be increased significantly to achieve a comfortable shower temp. This has obviously reduced the showerhead water pressure to an unusable level. Any suggestions?
Hello, this is either a failed heater tank element or a failed micro switch, an electrician will be able to test both.
Did it trip the RCD/fuse before this? if it did then it is most likely to be the heater tank. -
Hi, we have a 9KW Mira Sport that runs for exactly 5 mins. then stops., it does this on either hot or cold settings. The shower can then not be used for almost 24 hrs.
hello, this sounds like a faulty solenoid coil.

Mira sport 9.9 kW
On pressing the start button, the shower runs for a few seconds then stops.Hello, this is probably a faulty switch or solenoid, both items are part of the flow valve

Has the Mira Sport 98/205 9KW model got an inbuilt device for locking itself off should the input water be cut off or restricted. My shower is not giving any hot water out either when set to high, medium or low.
Regards Malcolm.Hello, it has two safety devices a thermal switch on the top of the heater tank and a pressure switch both could cause cold only, the TCO will need to be tested by an electrician for aN open circuit, the pressure switch is a visual test, both could be the cause.

Has the sport got a pressure release valve in the event of restricted flow, as in a blocked hose.
Hello, yes the relief device is in the bottom of the heater tank body
