We have a Mira Sport Max that stops during use. The unit is about 6 years old, starts fine every time and fine when switching from hot to cold or vice versa. About 3-5 minutes through usage, it totally cuts out and the 'low flow' LED illuminates. Initially thought it could be the water pressure, but other utilities and taps work fine. Any ideas?
Hello, if it cuts out the flow, then the solenoid is the most likely cause, the flow valve will need to be replaced.
-
From cold (no use for 1 hour) when I press any of the 3 power buttons, it doesn't do anything for about 30 seconds whilst the low flow light stays on.
What do you recon is the fault?Hi, this sounds like a sticking solenoid/flow valve.

I have a 4 year old Mira sport max. There appears to be a water leak from the flow valve assembly. Is this repairable or does it mean a new part. If so are these easy to fit ?
Hello, they are not repairable, you need to replace the flow valve, easy to fit? a bit fiddly to be honest.

Hi,
I currently have a Mira Sport Max and the shower has recently stopped providing hot water. I've noticed the overheat light has now come on since it broke. Even when the themo dial is turned fully in the warm direction, only cold water comes out. What part do you think is broken? and can this be purchased?
RegardsHello, it sounds like the thermal cut out has failed , replace part number 416.41

Hi I have a Sports Max approx 5 years old, When I set the shower to the high setting, and set the flow rate to a usble temprature it runs for approx 5 mins then the MCB feeding the circuit trips. It does not trip the RCD protecting the circuit, just the C50 MCB.
Would this be an issue with the element? or something else?Hello, this really is a job for an electrician, as the RCD is nearly always the first thing to trip, so this is a bit strange.

Noticed that our Mira Sport Max now only provides hot water if the heating dial is turned more or less fully to hot.
Previously on a high setting the dial was far more towards the cold.
Could this be a thermal switch problem?Hello, this is NOT the thermal switch, if the thermal switch was faulty you would not get any heat. it is probably a failed heater tank element or a faulty PCB, you need a qualified electrician to test both items

Hi,
I have the Mira Sport Max shower and it has recently only been flowing cold water. I have tried the shower on all three power settings and at different temperatures on the dial and it is still cold. No other water is running in the house at the time as well so that is not affecting it. Is this the heating element that is broken? All power seems normal?
ThanksHello, there are three things that will stop it from heating, the thermal switch (top of heater tank) or the pressure switch (part of the flow valve) or the PCB.
Get an electrician to test the thermal switch for continuity, if that is ok, then it may be the flow valve or PCB -
Do you sell the backs for showers?
The Mira Sport Max 2007 is hanging off the wall and the screw mounts have been ripped out. Need a new back to the shower.Hello, we are very sorry but Mira do not supply back boxes for any of their electric showers

Mira Sport 10.8kw shower.
Water is leaking from the joint on the right hand side of the inlet connector assembly. Is the problem the connector seal or the flow valve or something more complicated? Thanks in anticipation.Hello, it is likely to be a cracked inlet clamp, caused by a bit of stress on the inlet supply pipe, replace the clamp 416.38 and ensure the inlet pipe is not under any stress.

Mira sport shower. Water is continually hot and will. Not go cooler even. When the heat control knob is turned right back to cold, or the flow rate is turned either up or down
Hello, you either have a partially blocked shower head, or you might have to use the shower on the lower heat setting, due to the incoming water temp being very high at the moment.

hi
water runs hot and then cold is that the thermostatHello, there is no thermostat in the shower, only a overheat stat that reacts when the water gets too hot.If it gets too hot, it is because the flow rate through the shower is to slow, please check the shower head for blockage and try to turn the shower down to a cooler setting (blue section), the flow should increase and the temperature should decrease, give it 5-10 seconds between adjustments to allow the temperature to become stable.
