• A genuine Bristan part bought to replace the original which was beginning to fail after 13 years of daily use. Fitting was easy and the shower now works perfectly.
  The shower manual suggests regularly servicing the valve. This is easy to do. Unfortunately I'd neglected to do this and consequently getting the old valve out involved dismantling the whole unit. I shall not make this mistake again.

• Was easy to fit, did not come with silicone sealant which is required for the black seal rings you can see on the valve body. You may also need a 23mm box spanner to take it off if the valve is sunk into the housing body. Easy to fit though the temperature lever that sits on top of this valve was very tightly on do had to use some force to get it off. Had to replace as shower was only running hot. Has only been fitted for a few days, but so far no problems. The shower was a Bristan Prism Vertical dual control shower (PM VSHXAR C).
