• There are so many Geberit components that precise identification is essential. However it is hard to determine the exact model and date of manufacture of the mechanisms (in this case, a concealed cistern) which are of an age when the components fail (i.e. +10 years old). So I had to contact Geberit for the part number. NSS’ catalogue and order system worked really well once I had the part number.

• Could not work out what was broken with the old part. I kept dismantling and cleaning before committing to a new part.... And getting this new part fixed it. This is now the second time I've replaced the seal set in 8 years, ie I'm now on my third. It does seem to be the first (and only) part to break in the cistern but I guess every 4-5 years is not a big deal.
