I have had the triton jade for a long time; this weekend it decided that it would not stop flowing.
Turning the unit and or the mains power off stopped it heating but the shower flow didn't change, it continued full blast.
What's the most likely cause and are components still available?
I don't want to have to change the shower because the water connection was made with an early press fit coupling that probably won't disconnect which will mean breaking into the wall to replace the pipework.Hello, it sounds like the solenoid valve has jammed open. part number 83304130

My Jade shower smells of burning after a minute or so of use. Is the fault the Can Assembly, and would a replacement cure the problem?
Burning is usually wiring problems, normally loose connections, STOP using the shower and consult an electrician, hopefully the burning is not too bad and he can just tighten the connections.

Hi, we have one of these units which was in our house, which was there when we moved in last year, the low pressure light has come on and the water flow has stopped completely. There was no manual left when we moved in so I don't know what I'm meant to be looking for, any advice would be great.
Hello, we suspect the solenoid valve has failed. it can be replaced.

I have 2 of these units in the house and these units must be at least 10 years old, the current problem with one of the units is that is gets too hot and is scalding.
So my question is it feasible and cost effective to replace the relevant spare part in the unit if available or replace the whole unit with and updated JADE unit assuming that the Space parameter and fixings are the same or am I looking for the impossible?Hi, have you checked the obvious first, very hot water means the flow rate is restricted, have you checked the spray head for blockage, if some or all of the holes are blocked it will slow the flow resulting in an increase of temp.
