Many thanks,
'victorHello, the PRD will need to be replaced, but you also need to find out why it blew in the first instance, it may be a blocked shower head, or the hose may have been bent/kinked, something caused too much back pressure and blew the PRD.

t80xr when we turn on the shower by mains then push shower button on it works then you push button to stop it it doesn't stop we have to stop it by the mains is it the on/off button or something else

I am very happy with my T80xr, but we have a recurring problem. We live in a very hard water area (Sutton Surrey SM26RE). At least three years after we bought the shower the water temperature became uncontrollable. At what ever setting the water came out too hot. We asked our supplier about getting a replacement unit and he advised removing the head and shaking out the scale. We did this and a lot of debris came out and the shower worked well after that. He gave us your number and we replaced the head anyway. It was a short time ago in comparison to the first instance but the temperature control is again causing a problem. I have removed the shower head and only a little debris came out this time.
QUESTION. Is this a case of needing a replacement shower head or could there be anything else we need to address.
Many thanks. VGHello, the most likely cause is a badly scaled up heater can assy, it may need replacing.

My t80xr electric shower was working ok until the water was turned off for repair outside.Once the water was back on the shower was turned on the shower works but when its turned off the water constantly drips out at the bottom next to the hose seem to be from the area around spare part 7.
This sounds like the PRD has blown, it will need to be replaced, it was probably the force of the water when you turned it back on that caused the PRD to blow, you also need to check the shower head, a partially blocked head will also cause back pressure and again cause the PRD to blow.

when useing shower water is comeing out of overflow at the bottom of the box could you tell me what the problem is.kindest regards
Hello, it sounds like the PRD has blown , you need part number 82800450, the cause is usually a partially blocked shower head.

Hi, I have a T80XR, the PRD has blown, the replacement is due for delivery this week, is it a straight forward swop, i.e. any special commissioning required before switching shower on after replacement?
Many thanksHello, you must cure the reason the PRD blew in the first place, the cause is too much back pressure and the prd blows, back pressure is caused by restricted flow, so maybe the shower head is a bit blocked up, or someone may have kinked the shower hose stopping the flow.
Do not fit the new PRD until you are sure you have cured the blockage. -
shower will not turn off on button unless you turn on a cold tap
Hello, the solenoid is sticking you need part P12120800

Hello there,2years ago i replaced the PRD and it has gone again also the temperature seems to remain hot(very)even when put on cold,is it ok to replace the PRD again and will this solve temperature problem.
Hello, the PRD has blown due to a build up of back pressure, the head may be partially blocked, this will also cause the temp to be too hot, the slower the flow the hotter it gets, clear the blockage (probably limescale) and fit a new PRD and things should be back to normal.

on cleaning the shower head I broke it ,bought a new triton shower head , now water is leaking from the bottom of the unit on the right hand side next to silver hose.
Hello, I would think the PRD has blown, did you buy the same type of shower head? the PRD blows if the shower outlet gets blocked.

I replaced the solenoid but now the water isn't heating although there is plenty of pressure and the mains are open fully .
Hello, only two things will stop it heating completely, the thermal cut out on the top of the heater can, or the pressure switch.

After the shower running for a few minutes it shuts off, after turning the shower off for a minute or two when you turn it back on it runs again for a few minutes and shuts off again, I have replaced the thermal cut out switch but problem still exists. Can you help?
Hello, this is almost certainly the solenoid valve breaking down, it may reconnect each time, but eventually it will breakdown for good, please replace the solenoid, part number P12120800
