Triton trance second generation shower. I turned it on and it tripped the main fuse in the house. Turned the shower off at the mains switch, reset the main fuse in the fuse board and turned the shower back on. It is now working but at a really low pressure to get the water anywhere near an acceptable temperature?
Hello, this is most likely to be a failed heater can element, a breakdown of the insulation has caused a dead short.
You will need to replace the heater can assembly. -
We have had our Triton Trance 2nd generation electric shower for over three years now and has been working fine. A few days ago it stopped working by tripping the cutout switch in the fuse box area. First suspicion is that there is a short or over load in the device. any idea what the possible culprit could be in the device.
Hello, the most likely cause is a failed heater tank element, the insulation has broken down, giving a dead short, it will need a new heater can assembly.

My Triton Trance shower was working then heard a pop and water ran black then cleared and began running cold and now cannot get the shower to heat the water. Could this be the heater unit?
Thank youHello, Yes this sounds like a dead short in the heater tank/can, the tank will need to be replaced

My Triton Trance 2nd Generation has a very irregular water flow, and it does not maintain a stable temperature. The shower goes from scalding hot for several seconds to freezing cold. This continues on both power settings. What is wrong?
It appears that the thermal switch on the outlet pipe is failing which is causing the the flucuation in temperature as the water goes past it, if you were to carry out a continuity test over the 2 spades on this one and the one on top of the tank it will confirm which is faulty
